As babies we knew how to breathe, but as we got older we learned to be quiet or were “stifled” or we learned to wear clothing that was too tight around the waist. All of these caused us to develop shallow breathing, impeding circulation and therefore oxygen to the brain and nutrients to the rest of the body. causing us to take shallow breaths. Proper breathing is the simplest and most readily available remedy that we have. At the first sign of a headache, or cold or anything, just start deep breathing. Take deliberate and full breaths. Remove any bands around the waste and maybe even stand to allow your lungs to expand to capacity and slowly taken in your breaths. Try counting to 10 slowly on inhale, hold for 10 and exhale for 10. Unable to count to 10, start with a count of 5 and work you way up over the next few months. In the meantime, you are bringing more oxygen to the body and brain, increasing circulation and speeding up the work of those white blood cells. Stop if you feel any dizziness at all.
